    ABOUT

Mystery Supper Club is a monthly series of progressive dinners hosted by Urban Explorers of Atlanta. On the third Wednesday of each month we visit a different area of the city. We go to areas where we can walk or take a short UBER ride from one restaurant to the other.

Our mystery dinners typically take place at upscale casual restaurants; places where you feel comfortable wearing jeans and even dress shorts in the summer. Dinner guests only know which area of the city they will be going when they register. One day before the event, guests are given the meeting location. They have no way of knowing who else has signed up for the dinner or which restaurants they will be dining at.

You can expect a dash of culture, a pinch of history and a generous serving of fun all covered in a cloud of intrigue! Every dinner is different. You may start and stop anywhere along the line. Our typical itinerary looks like this...

    • 6:30pm, Stop 1 > Mix & Mingle Cocktail Reception
    • 7:30pm, Stop 2 > Sit Down Dinner
    • 9:00pm, Stop 3 > Dessert & After-dinner Drinks
    • August 19, 2017
    • 7:00 PM
    • Location will be sent to those who register

Mark your calendar! Registration for this event will re-open 28 days before the event.

Magellan Club member. Dawn Landau, will be hosting our Saturday Soiree in August at her home in Midtown. Dawn has selected "Summer Cookout" as her theme. Additional details will be posted soon on the Supper Club discussion forum

      • Park Tavern, 500 10th St NE, Atlanta, GA 30309

If you like to explore and eat really good pizza, this unique tour is for you! We combined the highlights of our Eastside Trail Walking Tour with the best pizza in Atlanta to provide you with a fun, informative and delicious experience. Here's what you can expect...

      • First, you will get to eat at three of the top (artisan) pizzarias in Atlanta!
      • You will get an insider's look at the Atlanta Betline, an exciting rails-to-trails project that is transforming the City of Atlanta on many levels.
      • You will see and learn about some of Atlanta's most historic sites and landmarks.
      • We can't promise that you will burn off ALL of the calories but you will get some exercise as we walk 3-4 miles at a leisurely pace.
      • You can expect to meet some fun and interesting people.
      TOUR ROUTE
      • Our tour begins with a really fun hike through Historic Piedmont Park. This crown jewel of Atlanta's Emerald Necklace was the site of the Cotton States & International Exhibtion of 1895. It was also home to the first Georgia vs Auburn football game (1892) which has been called the "Deep South's Oldest Rivalry."
      • You will get to see the Atlanta Beltline corridor in its natural state as we explore the interim hiking trail from Monroe Street to Piedmont Road.
      • During this part of the tour, you will be walking on the oldest of four "belt lines" (railroad tracks) that were built around the City of Atlanta between 1871 and 1908.
      • Upon reaching the northwest corner of the park, we will head southward along the Piedmont Park Promenade which meanders its way through a beautiful forest and along Clear Creek.
      • We will pass the Atlanta Botanical Gardens before making our way through the Six Springs Wetlands along an elevated boardwalk.
      • We emerge from the wetlands near two dog parks. Yep, two. Little dogs and big dogs each have their own park.
      • The interim hiking trail turns into the Eastside Trail where the Beltline corridor crosses Monroe Street. This 2.2 mile paved bike and walking path had over 1.7 million visitors in 2017!
      • Our first pizza stop is Brezza Cucina & Pizzeria, a stunning reataurant that is located in Ponce City Market.
      • We could spend all day in PCM but we have places to go and pizza to eat! While we are there you will learn about the fascinating history of this former Sears Roebuck & Co. distribution center and the surrounding area.
      • After Brezza we will walk off some more calories as we continue southward past Historic Fourth Ward Park. You will learn how this amazing Beltline project transformed acres of asphalt into an award-winning park.
      • After a 1.5-mile walk we arrive at our second pizzaria which is Fritti. This sexy restaurnt is in the heart of Historic Inman Park's business district.
      • Eating on Fritti's patio, which features a giant red umbrella, is "al fresco" dining at its best.
      • When we leave Fritti, we will take a quick spin through Inman Park on our way back to the Eastside Trail. You will learn about the history of Atlanta's first garden suburb as we work our way to our third pizzaria...
      • Varuni Napoli is located in Krog Street Market, which is a west-coast style food hall that was built on the site of a 100+ year old stove manufacturing facility. Here you will find the perfect compliments to your pizza including some of the best craft beer and ice cream you will find anywhere!
At this point, you have several options...
      • Walk back to Park Tavern (2 miles) or your final destination.
      • Take a ride sharing service back to Park Tavern or your final destination.
      • Hop on a Relay Bike and ride back to Park Tavern or your final destination.
      • Continue to explore Inman Park.
